Carolyn Wise

October 20, 1941 — February 9, 2024

Carolyn "June" Wise (Coffee) (nee Long) passed away, surrounded by family on February 9th after a long illness. June was born on October 20, 1941 to French and Martha Long in Birch River, WV. She was pre-deceased by her parents; her daughter, Christine (Vance) White; and her brother, Jack (Margie) Long. She is survived by her children, Pam (Carl) Rinehart, Bob (Becky) Coffee, and Dawn (Rick) Vint as well as siblings Jim and Joe (Debbie) Long, Jeannette Gaynor, Becky Rose, and Cindy (Scott) Campbell. She is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. All who knew her found her to be beautiful inside and out, and she will be missed by all of us.

June enjoyed working in healthcare during her lifetime. She was a voracious reader and loved the outdoors-fishing, birdwatching, and gardening. She greatly enjoyed playing all kinds of games with her many friends and family. She was a member of the North Hill Mother Singers for many years, singing for nursing homes, etc., and in the city-wide Mother Singers Concert each year. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff at Akron General Hospital for their kindness and care throughout June's stay there. Calling hours will be Saturday, February 17th, 11 a.m.-12 p.m. at Shoreline Community Church, where she was a member for many years. A celebration of life service will be at noon, Dr. Scott Campbell, officiating, with lunch to follow at the church. lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Shoreline, 790 Carnegie Ave, Akron, OH 44314.
