Charles Grimes

Charles K Grimes, 73, of Akron, OH passed away at home on Tuesday October 25, 2022 surrounded by his family. Chuck was born on May 27, 1949 in Zanesville, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virginia and Wayne, grandparents, and brother Otto.
Chuck is survived by his wife of 53 years, Linda (Harney), daughter Valerie (Don) Stockhausen, son Ken (Lara); grandchildren, Cori (Brandon), Morgan, Logan, Connor, Parker, Dylan, Jimmy, Jake, Jesse, and the light of his life, great-grandson Finn. Siblings; Mary Ann Khune, Florence Dodd, George Grimes, and Richard Insley. Along with many nieces and nephews.
Chuck loved his family more than anything. He was proud to have served in the Army 82nd Airborne Division. He was a member of various Masonic organizations. Chuck enjoyed fishing with his son, camping, Euchre, vacationing, and spending time with his family.
To honor Chuck's memory, we will be having a celebration of life on Saturday, November 12th, 2022 from 1-4 pm at the Fraternal Order of Eagles 5899 Manchester Road, Akron, OH. We invite all friends and family to join us.
