We are saddened to announce that Christopher McGarr passed away suddenly on April 12, 2025 at the age of 35. Chris was born in Akron, graduated from Kent Roosevelt High School and lived most of his adult life in Norton, Ohio.
Chris was loved by everyone who knew him. He was a kind hearted, sweet kid who loved
Cleveland Sports. He was especially eager to see his son Cayden participate in sports so he could cheer him on. Chris played football in high school and was excited to learn that Cayden planned to play football in the next season.
If you needed something built or fixed, he was your guy. Chris owned and operated his own business focusing on home remodeling. Chris and his Dad, Ronny enjoyed spending time together and completed many projects.
Chris had an equally strong bond with his mother, Brenda. He loved her cooking and he would do anything she needed to help her. Chris had planted a beautiful flower garden for her to sit and enjoy while drinking her morning coffee.
Chris was a devoted son, dedicated father and a great friend to all.
He is survived in death by his parents Ron McGarr (Ruth) and Brenda Ankney McGarr, his son Cayden, his brother Alex, and his step brother Dominic Rupert (Hannah), his long time girlfriend and his best friend Crystal Myers, his Grandmother Sandy McGarr (Ronald) and Grandfather Bob Ankney (Sandy) and his Aunts and Uncles (Deb & David Revello, Rick & Kim McGarr, Andy McGarr, Robyn & Tony Morgan, Eddie Ankney).
He is also survived in death by many cousins, Erica who was like a sister to him and Adam, Aaron, Trent, Andy, Victoria, Adam and Robert. As well as, Devon, Brandon, Brayden and Isaac.
Even though Chris is gone from us, we will always love him and share in all of the good memories we have of him.
