Darcey Bebber

October 26, 1966 — September 4, 2024

It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that the family of Darcey Dale Bebber, of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, announces that he died on Wednesday, September 4, at the age of 57. Dale was born on October 26, 1966, in Oakland, CA to Clifford Eugene Bebber and Nadine Lee (Harper) Orwig. Dale attended Moline High School, where he was an accomplished athlete, playing on the baseball team and also the varsity football team as the quarterback. He was elected class president, performed the role of Tom Sawyer in a high school play and was a member of the Latin club. He was hardworking and determined, as a youth practicing sports (he shoveled snow off of the school parking lot so he could practice shooting hoops) and as an adult in his career.

Dale married Julie (Wise) Pulk and had one daughter, Kayley. He later married his former spouse, Michelle (McCluggage) Bebber, and had three children, Cleo, Asa, and Mona. Dale was a self-taught computer programmer who found beauty in programming languages. He had eclectic taste in music (Frank Sinatra, Elvis, Prince, Earth Wind and Fire, Broadway musicals, Pink, Demi Lovato, Bon Jovi, Billy Idol, and more). He enjoyed spending time with children and animals and had many different pets over the years, including birds, rabbits, snakes, cats, dogs, chinchillas, fish, a tortoise, and ferrets. He was strong-willed and individualistic, with a captivating sense of humor and a knack for impressions. He was an avid coffee drinker. He was kind.

Dale is survived and dearly missed by: his children, Kayley (Stuart Holmes) Bebber, Seattle, WA; Cleo Bebber, Cuyahoga Falls, OH; Asa Bebber, Cuyahoga Falls, OH; Mona Bebber, Cuyahoga Falls, OH; siblings Douglas (Lori) Bebber, Rock Island, IL; Stephen (Darcy) Bebber, Sarasota, FL; Rachelle Lang, Waterford, OH; stepmother, Marsha Solomon, Kewanee, IL; and grandson, Owen Holmes. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford Bebber and Nadine (Harper) Orwig, and his brother Jason Bebber.
