David Hill

David A. Hill, 90, of Shreve passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at the Divine Rehab & Nursing Center at Canal Pointe in Akron.

He was born October 19, 1932 in Battle Creek Michigan to the late Arthur J. and Eva M. (Thomas) Hill. On September 1, 1962 David married Lorraine M. Stich. They were married 56 years when she passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2019.

David was an outgoing, jolly person who loved making other people laugh. He lived for some years in Washington state, Texas, and Cleveland, Ohio. He was one of 11 children. He worked for many years as a machine operator for Rexroth. He had such a joyful, cheery, smiling way of interacting with people that his coworkers nicknamed him "Happy". He was so skilled at repairing and building things that his family called him "Mr. Fix-it". He enjoyed gardening, repairing things, and watching programs about nature and animals. He especially enjoyed helping others learn about the Bible. He was a member of the Wooster congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Surviving are two sons, David A. Hill Jr. and Timothy J. Hill, both of Shreve. Preceding him in death were his wife, Lorraine, and both parents.
