Deborah Holmes

Deborah peacefully passed away on March 28, 2025, with her family by her side. She is now reunited with her father George Pifer, brother Michael Pifer, and son Gary Knight. Deborah is survived by her loving mother Mary Pifer, brother Joe Pifer, and sister Alisa Preib. She is also survived by her sons John (Lindsey) Holmes Sr., Brian Holmes, and Chris Holmes, as well as her grandson John Holmes Jr. and granddaughter Ryleigh Holmes.

Having spent her entire life in Akron, she graduated from Ellet High School in 1975. She held various positions at General Tire and several other local factories. In addition, she pursued higher education at Brown Mackie College and Akron Institute. Known for her strong work ethic, she was always ready to tackle any task, regardless of how she was feeling or the weather conditions.

Her remains will be cremated, and details regarding the funeral service and celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
