Ellin Compton

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Ellin Compton, born December 31st, 1949 in Bethel, NY. She lived as a creative, loving, and hilarious Mother, teacher, sister and friend who brought joy and inspiration to her students and loved ones. She was beloved by her 5th and 6th grade students at Immaculate Conception and Annunciation St. John schools. Ellin's love for teaching was evident in the way she connected with her students and made learning fun. She is also cherished her family, especially her daughters Erin and Alicia, and her two grandchildren Alex and Andrea Kennedy. She will be deeply missed by her four sisters, Elizabeth, Cynthia, Emilie and Cecelia and her life long friends Pamm and Alice. Ellin's light and legacy will continue to shine through her beautiful artwork and writings, as her talent knew no bounds. May her memory live on in the hearts of all those she touched. Rest in peace, dear Ellin.

The celebration of life party is on Sunday, Nov.12th at 4 pm at Dowed Hall located in the basement of The Visitation of Mary Parish at 55 Broad Street in Akron, Ohio. All are welcome. Bring a dish and memories to share.
