Janet Slusser

Janet M. Slusser, age 85, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, passed away on October 15, 2023. She was born on November 6, 1937, in Akron, Ohio, to the late Alfred and Hazel Francis.

Janet was a dedicated mother, an amazing Nana, and a woman of deep faith. She was known for her wicked sense of humor and her ornery and feisty nature. Janet was an experienced baker, cook, gardener, and flower lover. She especially loved to sew and make "I love you" quilts for her grandchildren.

Janet is survived by her sister, Nancy (Don) Moore, and her brother, John (Dot) Francis. She is also survived by her children, Alan (Sue) Slusser, Amy Pinto, William (Karen) Slusser, Ronald (Sharon) Slusser, and Julia (Terry) Manley. Janet will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Nina (Tim) Berton, Carissa Slusser, Trisha Pinto, Jessica, Eric, and Amy Minch, Laura (Ben) Allison, and David Slusser. She was also a cherished great-grandmother to Wren and Dax Berton. Janet was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Slusser, her sister, Jean Shields, and her granddaughter, Rachael Pinto.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at Goodyear Metro Parks Lodge, 2077 Newton, Akron, Ohio 44305. The service will begin at 11:00 am, followed by an open house until 4:30 pm.

Janet M. Slusser will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her legacy of love, laughter, and creativity will forever be cherished.
