It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Ledora, born March 18, 1960, to the late Betty L. Davis in Maplesville, Alabama. She moved to Akron, Ohio at a young age where she thoroughly enjoyed life. Ledora departed this life in her home unexpectedly on December 4, 2024 at the age of 64, leaving behind a legacy of memories impossible to forget.
Ledora was known for her sweetness, being a princess and an ultimate diva, with her Cinderella style. She touched many lives and left everyone in awe by the way she dressed and cared for herself. She was a person who would dance for hours, and it brought her so much joy. She loved anything that dazzled and blinged, she would always stand out in any crowd she stepped into. She lit up a room and turned heads when she walked in the door. People gravitated to Ledora as she had a welcoming spirit and always brought the biggest smile.
From an early age Ledora always had her sister, Audrey. They were so close in age, most people thought they were twins. Their mother Betty would ask Ledora "What's the baby's name?" Ledora would always respond "Name" the nickname stuck with Audrey even as of today. Then along came Baby Boo her baby brother one of her favorite dance partners. She relied on Boo to attend to her needs.
Ledora graduated from Buchtel High School in 1978 and spent most of her career working at Little Tikes and The Hoover Company. Everyone at her jobs waited daily to see what she would be wearing or the new hair style she had come up with. She loved her jewelry, makeup, perfume and anything that made her feel beautiful. She accepted God at an early age and it reflected in her spirit, she was like an angel on earth. If you ever interacted with Ledora she made everyone feel special from the janitor to the president.
Ledora was preceded in death by her mother Betty L. Thomas, Grandparents John and Rosie L. Davis, Uncles: Joe, Charles, and John Davis. Aunts: Rosie Jenkins and Annette Davis. Ledora leaves to cherish her memory: sister Audrey C. Allison-White (Phillip), Brother Charles T. Thomas, niece Monique C. Harris, nephew Isaiah G. Wood, niece Charlee M. Thomas, favorite great-niece Betty M. Harris, Aunts: Ora Baines and Mary Ellis. A loving partner and caretaker, Daryl Barnes. A host of well-loved cousins, family and very dear friends.
Ledora wished to be cremated and to celebrate her life with a party and lots of dancing. Condolences can be sent to her sister Audrey at 3421 S. Smith Road. Fairlawn, Ohio 44333.
