Leroy "Jack" Augustus

Leroy "Jack" Augustus, age 85, went Home to be with his Lord and Savior March 31, 2023. His lifetime friend and loving wife of 32 years, Marilyn, was by his bedside. Jack was born March 29, 1938 in Peninsula, Ohio. He served our country in the Ohio National Guard. Jack worked 26 years for IUEC Local 45 as an elevator constructor and 11 years for Ohio Department of Commerce as an elevator inspector.

Jack loved spending time with his family and friends. He was an Ohio sports enthusiast and enjoyed watching basketball, baseball, football, golf and NASCAR. Jack's contagious laugh and sense of humor was enjoyed by all. Favorite pastimes included golfing, boating and traveling. Jack loved camping, golf cart rides around the campgrounds and sitting by the campfire with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; children, Jim (Mary) Augustus, Kathy (Doug) Darrah, Tom (Heather) McCarl and Michelle (Chuck) Faloney; grandchildren, Kyle (Jordan) Darrah, Kelsey Darrah, Bailey and Maggie McCarl, Joe (Emily) Moff and Alex Moff; great grandchildren, Lois, Timmy and Melva Moff; sisters-in-law, Janet Augustus and Linda (Denny) Finch and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Per his wishes cremation has taken place and there will not be any services. Donations may be made to the Assistance Fund or Healthwell Foundation.
