Louis McElhaney

Louis "Louie" Walter McElhaney Jr., age 82, went home to be with the Lord on Monday October 2, 2023 while resting peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones.

Louie was born in Akron, Ohio to Louis McElhaney Sr. and Betty McElhaney on July 20, 1941.

Louie married Linda Painter on September 1, 1961 and had five children: Louis III, Larry, Michael, Mark, and Rachel.

He is preceded in death by his beloved sons Larry McElhaney and Mark McElhaney, along with his parents Louis McElhaney Sr. and Betty McElhaney, and his siblings Patricia Coon, Neil McElhaney, and Mary Clause.

He is survived by his wife Linda McElhaney, three children, sons: Louis McElhaney III (wife Renee McElhaney), Michael McElhaney (wife Sherrie McElhaney), daughter: Rachel Reichenbach, and daughter-in-law's: Monica McElhaney and Pamela McElhaney. He had ten grandchildren and two great-grandsons.

Louie retired from Reiter Dairy after a 26 year long career. He loved Jesus and his family very much. He was extremely proud of all his children and grandchildren. Louie was thoughtful, kind, and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was a wonderful father, brother, son, husband, grandfather and friend. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
