Robert C. Gross (Bob), born March 4, 1939 in Akron, Ohio, died August 27, 2022.
He attended Buchtel High School, Class of 57, and Bowling Green State University. He was an Army Veteran, 1961 to 1964, serving in Okinawa, Japan. He owned Bob Gross Garden Center and opened one of the first stores at Quaker Square, Four Seasons Gift Shop. In 1979 he became a sales rep in the gift and floral industry, retiring after 30 years.
Bob loved his Cleveland Browns, Indians and OSU Buckeyes and his family pets. He loved fishing, collecting old music and classic films. He enjoyed gardening with special interest in wildlife habitat.
Preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Beatrice Gross, sister Janice Bishop and special niece Christy Bishop, he is survived by his soul mate Elizabeth Roberts; sons Michael (Rhonda) and Marc (Elizabeth); grandchildren Taylor, Nick, Robert, and Page. Can't forget his oldest and dearest friends, Robbie Thomas, Doc Riemenschneider, Jim and Sandy Knoch, Ron and Sandy Smith, Mike Miller and Rick Ausel and so many other good friends who have made my life so special, Thank You.
