Robyn Ferrell

February 9, 1966 — February 22, 2025

Robyn Ferrell, 59, of Akron, Ohio passed away on February 22, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 9, 1966, in Canton, Ohio to Bob Ferguson and Mary Friend. Robyn was not only a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, but a beacon of light and laughter to those who had the pleasure of being part of her world. She loved deeply and unconditionally, forging a life dedicated to service, community, and most importantly, family.

Robyn devoted 23 years of her life working for Akron Public Schools. Her passion for mentorship continued outside of the classroom through her work with the Girl Scouts. Over the years, she had three troops, 488, 970, and 711. In her free time, Robyn enjoyed reading, cheering on the Cleveland Guardians, and most notably, making memories with her friends and family. She will forever be known for her vivacious personality, her unparalleled sense of humor, her unconditional acceptance and love, and all the other beautiful parts of her that words cannot do justice, but were simply an honor to experience.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bob Ferguson; her husband, Danny Ferrell; her grandparents, Alton and Ila Fern Ferguson, and Mary Ulm; her aunt, Kay Miller; and her cousins, Danny Boyle and Meredith Miller.

Robyn is survived by her beloved children, Elizabeth and Mckenzie Ferrell; her mother and stepfather, Mary and John Friend; three brothers, Gary (Gina) Ferguson, Mark (John Benzinger) Ferguson, and David (Becky) Ferguson; ten nieces and nephews, Brandon (Ally) Ferguson, Joshua (Nikki) Ferguson, Camellia Ferguson, Maggie Ferguson, Randy Potts, Sean Ferguson, Sara (David) Burnett, Melinda (Dylan) Simmonds, Dominic Bailey, and Mia Bailey; 4 great nieces and 7 great nephews, as well as a multitude of extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory forever.
