William Ricky Roper

William R. Roper, 63, of West Salem, Ohio, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2023, surrounded by the love of his family.

William (Ricky) was born on January 22, 1960, in Willard, Ohio to Senter (Bob) and June Roper.  

He graduated from Northwestern High School.

He married Beverly Gail Dotson, the love of his life, on February 14, 1978, and they shared 45 years together.  She survives.

William (Ricky) worked for West Salem Equity and West Salem Packaging.  He enjoyed farming, watching wrestling, doing yard work, and playing with his foster son Malakai Roper.

William (Ricky) will be deeply missed by his wife; his foster son Malakai Roper; his brothers Terry, Robby and Timmy; his sisters Charmaine, Linda, Sheila, Venetia and Estelle; and all his nieces and nephews.

William (Ricky) was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, 2 nieces and 3 nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held for the family and close friends at Drake Park in West Salem, Ohio on May 20, 2023, from 3-5 pm.
